    Connect the role to real experience instead of forcing every qualification into a yes or no.

  4. What is the smallest useful next step?

    The answer may be research, a conversation, a draft, a deliberate no, or simply waiting.

  • The biggest concerns can be investigated.
  • You have enough evidence to decide what to learn next.
  • The next step fits your available energy and time.

Reasons to pause

Wait when these remain unresolved.

  • Urgency is the only reason to continue.
  • The posting leaves essential conditions unclear.
  • Pursuing it would crowd out stronger options.
  • You feel pressure to apply before deciding whether the role fits.
